A member is eligible to be paid a withdrawal benefit if they have stayed 6 months without employment after resignation, retrenchment or dismissal from employment.
The total accumulated credit is payable subject to guidelines in the Pension Directive. If a member has a total accumulated credit of less than K500, 000.00, the member can be paid the total amount at the time of leaving employment.
If the total paid accumulated credit is more than K500, 000.00, then the member will be paid the employee credit only, and the balance will be preserved until the ex-employee reaches retirement age. The preserved employer credit is subject to growth from bonuses.
